About

Writer, editor, conservationist, animal lover, farmer, activist, work in progress.

I’m a freelance writer and editor living in the greater Seattle area.  I have a small farm where I keep a small flock of  sheep, a dozen or so laying hens, a couple of beehives, and try to keep my canine pack entertained.  I raise my own vegetables and herbs, wildharvest herbs and berries around the property, and work at keeping the land wildlife friendly, though the dogs routinely disagree with that goal.

  1. Hi Maureen, Thank you for liking and following my blog. I see we have a few things in common, farming, sheep, dogs, chickens. I am looking forward to reading your posts, especially the ones on bees, that is what I have been thinking about adding to my farm. Thanks again!
